Amy Stewart Sanders

Amy Stewart Sanders, a native of Claude, Texas, is a partner in the  law firm of Ryan & Sanders, LLP.  Ms. Sanders graduated from Texas Tech University in 1987 and received a B.A. in Political Science, cum laude.  She graduated from Texas Tech University School of Law in 1990.  From 1990 through 1991, Ms. Sanders served as a briefing attorney for the Hon. Ward Koehler of the Eighth District Court of Appeals seated in El Paso. Her practice principally involves estate planning, probate and trust matters. 

Civic Activities 

Ms. Sanders is currently President of the El Paso Child Guidance Center. She is also a member of the Executive Forum of El Paso.

Ms. Sanders is board certified in estate planning and probate law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization of the State Bar of Texas, she is rated AV by Martindale Hubbell Legal Directory, and she is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, Woodard and White, 2007  through 2012, and as a Texas Super Lawyer by Thomson Reuters, 2007 through 2011.  Ms. Sanders is a former director of the El Paso Bar Association, and a former director and officer of the Texas Young Lawyers Association, and served as Secretary of that organization from 2000 until 2001, and Vice President from 2001 through 2002.  She was named Outstanding Director for 1998-1999.  Ms. Sanders is also a former President of the El Paso Young Lawyers Association and was named as Outstanding Young Lawyer by that organization for 1996-1997.  Ms. Sanders served as President of the El Paso Estate Planning Council during 2003-2004.

Ms. Sanders is currently a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the El Paso Bar Association, the El Paso Women’s Bar Association and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.  In addition, she is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.

 Ms. Sanders frequently lectures on estate planning and probate topics, and has authored the following:
